Chalice Ministers
- Come forward together at the Fraction Anthem.
- Bow:
Courtyard Service: Bow simultaneously before Altar.
Indoor Service: Bow simultaneously at bottom of Chancel steps. Climb steps.
- Stand at either end of the Altar, facing the Clergy. Clergy will hand you the Chalice and Purificator (white cloth). Turn and face the congregation. Clergy and Chalice Ministers elevate the elements during The Invitation.
- The Clergy serve Communion to themselves, to the Chalice Ministers, and then to the Healing Team.
- As Clergy serve the bread to the congregation, follow with the chalice, saying “The blood of Christ, the cup of salvation.” If someone has sipped, the Chalice Minister should wipe the cup with the Purificator and turn the cup before approaching the next communicant.
Welcome Ministers
- Courtyard Service: Go to Huntington Hall after the service, where cold lemonade is served. Greet people as they enter from the Courtyard.
- Indoor Church Service: Stand at the meeting of the aisles to the exits (ramp door at Irving street and Huntington Hall) from the Church. Greet people after they have greeted the Clergy.
Generally make people feel welcome. Give directions to locations around the Church as needed. Introduce people to staff, volunteers, or other All Sainters for conversation during refreshments.
