| The Bonifantes Choir of 32 men and boys from the Czech Republic will perform for two hours including an intermission. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. There is a family rate of $25 for up to six people. Group rates are available by advance reservation by calling 508 752 3766 x 16. Tickets will be sold at coffee hour following the 9:00 and 10:30 services on Sundays October 29 and November 5. Phone reservations are possible for this concert. To reserve tickets, please send checks made payable to All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester MA 01609. Please indicate how many adult tickets and how many student/senior tickets and how many family tickets are covered by the payment. If you choose not to send payment in advance, tickets will be held in your name for pickup at the door until fifteen minutes prior to performance time. If we receive payment by Sunday November 5, we can mail your tickets to you if you include a Self-addressed stamped envelope. If we receive payment after November 5, or if no return envelope is provided, we will hold your tickets for pickup on the night of the concert. Doors open at 7:00 and all seating is unreserved. Concert parking is available free in the church parking lot and also at 20 Irving Street. The concert will consist of four dramatically distinct parts, with an intermission following Part 2. Part 1 is classical music from the European choral tradition with music by Mozart, Vivaldi, Dvorak and Puccini. The second part of the concert features contemporary and 20th century music by Benjamin Britten, Leonard Bernstein, Gunnar Hahn, Zoltan Kodaly. The third part will belong to Czech and Slovak national and folk music. The final section of the concert will be dedicated to American music. Gospels and spirituals will be crowned by "America The Beautiful" as set to music by Irving Berlin. |
