A PUBLICATION OF ALL SAINTS CHURCH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION INC.,
A CHARITABLE, TAX EXEPT CORPORATION    ID  NO. 20-2714157

Contrary to what you may have heard, reunion weekend is Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, 2008. This will celebrate the 140th year of the founding of the Choir of Men and Boys at All Saints Church, Worcester, MA. What a great tradition and only made possible in part by each of you!
We will get together, as we have every five years for many years, to renew friendships and meet new alumnus who have continued the spirit and musicianship that was passed on to them.
Your Board of Directors is functioning as the reunion committee. The weekend plans are shaping up well.
This year, for those with that passion, a golf tournament will be played Friday afternoon. Hank and Rik Hokans are the organizers of this event.
On Friday evening, we will start with the traditional social hour, followed by dinner and a business meeting. This year, dinner will be a buffet, so you can
choose what and how much you wish to eat. There will be beef, fish and chicken; vegetables, pasta, rice and potatoes. And save room for the strawberry shortcake!
On Saturday morning, we will gather in Vinton Hall for a light breakfast; then rehearsal for Sunday's service. If you no longer sing, you may certainly come and listen, have some free time on your own, or sleep in.
Saturday afternoon, we go to the Whites' place on Charlton Reservoir for a catered cookout. Creedon will prepare New England clam chowder, steak burgers, veggie burgers, jumbo hot dogs, chicken pieces, potato salad and watermelon! You know, I think I've just put on a few pounds while writing this!
Of course there will be an opportunity for swimming, water skiing and catching up on what all has happened to us since we last gathered.
Prepaid reservations the form is on page 3 are due May 1, 2008.
Some may be unaware that for many years, Choir Gold Crosses have not been awarded, a sad situation brought about by the evertightening budget constraints All Saints Church has been experiencing. A new, at least to us, recognition and award system is now used by the choirs.
During Sunday morning's service, you will witness how the award system works: a truly touching program, involving many levels of experience and accomplishment by the choristers. For those who have not attended one of these choir recognition services before, this will be a truly impressive experience.
A treat is in store for those who can stay until Sunday evening. At 5 PM. a choral evensong will be offered by the choirs, much like the evensong services they will be singing when they are in England next August. Do consider attending.
