Designed by G. Owen Bonawit of New York City in 1939, and is a memorial to Lessie Maynard Morgan.
This window, dedicated on Sunday, May 10, 1942, illustrates the life of Christ, and is based upon a window of the 13th century in the Cathedral of Chartres in France and is considered to be some of the finest examples of 13th century stained glass and was featured in an article on stained glass in Life magazine April, 1939. The window portrays various episodes in the life of our Lord, beginning with the Annunciation and reaching a climax in the figure of the reigning Christ. The composition drawing, subject matter and coloring has been followed as carefully as possible. The artist has tried, to the best of his ability, to capture some of the spirituality of the old glass. There is no symbolism in the window. In order to keep the subject matter as simple as possible, so that the various episodes in the life of Christ would carry from a distance, only primary colors are used in this window and these are of the purest shades.
