Saturday February 20: “Leading Into Lent: Creating Lenten Prayer Books”
Lynn Penney, artist and leader of contemplative prayer groups, will lead us in bringing prayer and creativity together in new ways. With silence, singing, fabric, paper, poems, prayers and images, we will create small Prayer Books to use during Lent and listen for God’s invitations to us in this holy season.

Saturday April 10: “Becoming Messengers and Ministers of Reconciliation:
The Spirituality of Peacemaking”
How can we be messengers of reconciliation in a culture that proclaims a message of retaliation? How can we be instruments of peace? Nancy Small will bring her experience as a spiritual director and former executive director of Pax Christi USA, a national Catholic peace organization, to our reflection on the ways we cultivate peace and reconciliation in our hearts, lives and worlds. The day will include a labyrinth walk for peace and reconciliation.

Come to one or all of the evenings in this five-part series as we learn about and experience prayer in different traditions. Each session will focus on the contemplative and mystical branch of a different religious tradition, deepening our understanding of these spiritual practices.

- May 5 – Robert Jonas (Buddhism), May 12 – Seth Castleman (Judaism),
