This year the EYC joins with the Fab-Friday youth,
meeting on Friday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m.
Episcopal Youth Church (E.Y.C.)
Our Youth Group is open to students in grades 6 through 12, and we meet on the second and fourth Sundays from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. during the school year (parents share responsibility for providing lunch). Members spend time sharing with each other their joys and concerns, and the program emphasizes developing independence, responsibility, and an attitude of generosity towards others. Trips and special activities are planned throughout the year that offer opportunities to practice these developing capabilities.
Youth Confirmation Classes for Grades 7 - 10
Confirmation is an important event in the life of a young person. We have a confirmation class for young people in grades 7-10 that will be Confirmed on November 18th at the 10:30 Service. The class has been an opportunity for young people to grow in their faith as we built on what we learned in Church School classes about our faith and Christian traditions, asked questions, talked with confirmation advisors and each other, experienced other places of worship and were involved with different service projects for the church and community.
We meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 7:30-8:30, in the third floor youth room.
If you are interested in being part of the next confirmation program, please contact Nancy Elder-Wilfrid. nancy@allsaintsw.org or call the church office 508-752-3766.
Acolytes
The Vinton Acolyte Guild is open to girls and boys, men and women.
Acolytes participate in the Sunday 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. They assist the clergy in the major worship services. They carry crosses, torches, and banners, and help with the alms and sacramental elements during the services. Our acolytes develop poise, self-assurance, and confidence in appearing before large groups of people. And most of all, participants learn that everyone has something to offer to the worship of God.
Worship Leadership
Children and youth take an active role in leading worship at All Saints Church, and this experience is valuable for them in several ways. In addition to developing a respect for and appreciation of our faith tradition, members of our choirs receive professional music training and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
